After the Super Bowl, fans noted that Cardi B and Diggs appeared to unfollow each other on Instagram
Cardi B has purchased a $500,000 Audemars Piguet watch as speculation continues around her relationship with NFL player Stefon Diggs.
The 33-year-old rapper shared the luxury acquisition in an Instagram video as celebrity jeweller Benny the Jeweler fastened the timepiece onto her wrist. “A little gift for me from me,” she said in the clip, explaining that the watch was intended “to set myself up the proper way for tour.”
The purchase comes ahead of her forthcoming Little Miss Drama Tour, her first in nearly seven years. According to reports, the watch features an 18-carat frosted gold case and bracelet, accented with 32 baguette-cut rainbow sapphires around the dial.
The timing of the purchase has drawn attention online. Following Super Bowl LX on 8 February, fans noted that Cardi B and Diggs, 32, appeared to unfollow each other on Instagram. The move came after Cardi reportedly left the game early, before the New England Patriots’ 29–13 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks was confirmed. The pair, who welcomed a baby boy together in November, have not publicly commented on the speculation.
Diggs is also facing legal challenges. He is involved in a civil lawsuit filed by a former associate who alleges that the athlete falsely accused him of stealing a luxury Ferrari, claims said to have damaged his business. Diggs has not commented publicly on the suit.
In addition, he faces felony and misdemeanour assault charges relating to a separate alleged incident in December. His attorney has denied the allegations, stating they are “unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, and were never investigated—because they did not occur.”
