HYDERABAD:
A low intensity bomb exploded on a railway track in Tando Masti area of Khairpur district on Friday night, derailing a freight train which was heading towards Karachi. No casualty was reported in the incident that happened near Khairpur railway station.
The Pakistan Railways authorities stopped all the trains which were scheduled to pass through Khairpur.
The IGP Sindh Javed Alam Odho took notice of the blast, and the directed the DIG Sukkur to immediately start hunt of the culprits besides checking other parts of the track with the help of BDS.
Meanwhile, in view of the prevailing global and national situation, Hyderabad police have been placed on high alert.
