In late 2025, Grande described the tour as a possible “one last hurrah” as she shifts focus towards acting
Ariana Grande has suggested that her upcoming Eternal Sunshine Tour could mark the final time she embarks on a major global tour, as her creative focus increasingly shifts towards acting and other projects.
In an interview with Vogue Japan, the singer reflected on the demands of touring, having spent much of the past fifteen years on the road. “I have spent a lot of the last fifteen years doing that on a big scale,” she said. “I think I have a lot more creative energy to give and spend on different things.” Her comments arrive as her acting career continues to gain momentum following the success of the Wicked films.
While Grande made clear that music remains central to her identity, she framed the change as a reassessment of how and where she channels her creativity. “I always want to make sure that I’m creating from an authentic place,” she said. “But it’s really important to me as an artist to remain as connected to what feels authentic as possible.”
The possibility of stepping back from touring was reinforced by her remarks about the Eternal Sunshine Tour itself. Addressing fans, Grande said, “I hope I get to hug you in LA at one of the shows or all of them. Just in case it never happens again.” The comment has prompted speculation that the tour could be her last of this scale.
The Eternal Sunshine Tour begins on June 6 and runs through September, comprising 41 shows across multiple regions. It will be Grande’s first world tour in seven years and has seen strong demand, with tickets selling quickly in several major markets.
Grande has previously echoed similar sentiments. In late 2025, she described the tour as a possible “one last hurrah” during an appearance on Good Hang with Amy Poehler and later told the New York Times that she is not leaving music, but allowing room for a broader and evolving creative career.
