PESHAWAR:
On the 13th anniversary of Shaheed Bashir Ahmed Bilour’s martyrdom, Awami National Party (ANP) Central President Senator Aimal Wali Khan paid tribute to the late leader, describing him as a living symbol of bravery, service, and sacrifice for the entire Pashtun nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Wali Khan said Bilour’s fearless struggle against terrorism continues to serve as a guiding light, proving that the followers of Bacha Khan never bow before oppression or terror. He emphasized that Bilour’s sacrifices for peace in the Pashtun region will forever be remembered in history.
“The lessons from our martyrs must inspire us to turn the dream of peace into reality, so future generations can live in an environment free from violence, hatred, and extremism,” he added.
Highlighting the current situation, Wali Khan warned that the people of the province continue to face insecurity, injustice, and terrorism.
He criticized both the provincial and federal governments for failing to eradicate terrorism, uphold the rule of law, and ensure public welfare. “While Pashtun blood is being shed, terrorists and their facilitators roam freely,” he said.
