LAHORE:
Police rescued a two-day-old boy who had been abducted from the nursery of Lahore General Hospital (LGH), apprehending a suspected kidnapper.
Two unidentified women had allegedly entered the hospital’s nursery ward and fled with the newborn boy.
The baby’s father, Muhammad Afzal, a resident of Lahore, lodged a complaint at Kot Lakhpat police station, leading to the registration of a case against the two unidentified women.
Utilising forensic evidence, CCTV footage, and technological tools, the operation and investigation teams of Model Town police traced the newborn’s whereabouts.
“The newborn has been safely recovered, and one suspect is in custody,” a spokesperson said.
