President to address joint sitting on March 2

President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday approved the summary to convene a joint sitting of the Parliament on March 2, 2026, as part of the commencement of the new parliamentary year.

According to the Presidency, the joint session will be held at 3:00 pm on March 2. The joint sitting of Parliament is convened at the start of each parliamentary year.

President Zardari will address the joint sitting for the ninth time in his capacity as President of Pakistan. His address is expected to outline national priorities, democratic stability, constitutional supremacy and sustainable economic development.
