Brigitte Bardot’s final social media posts showed her spending her last moments with the cause she had dedicated her life to
The French icon, who recently passed away at the age of 91, was seen remarkably well while spending time volunteering for her The Brigitte Bardot Foundation.
In the post uploaded by the foundation’s Instagram page, Bardot was looking for a home for a German breed dog named Urphe.
It is pertinent to mention that Bardot, who came into the spotlight with her controversial role in the 1950s film, And God Created Woman, left her acting career in 1973 and started advocating for animal rights and began her foundation for animal protection and welfare in 1986.
Another Christmas post of the foundation featured Bardot kissing a rescue dog, while sending warm wishes to its followers.
“CHRISTMAS. All the teams at the Brigitte Bardot Foundation wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Thank you for your support! Take care of yourselves, your loved ones, and your pets,” the caption read.
Bardot’s passing was announced by the animal rights charity on Sunday with a tribute to the Hollywood actress.
“The Brigitte Bardot Foundation announces with immense sadness the death of its founder and president, Madame Brigitte Bardot, a world-renowned actress and singer, who chose to abandon her prestigious career to dedicate her life and energy to animal welfare and her foundation,” the statement read.
