The Sindh Revenue Board, with the approval of the Government of Sindh, has extended the deadline for filing Agricultural Income Tax returns from September 30 to October 31.
To assist taxpayers, an online return form has been made available. Taxpayers who fail to meet the new deadline may face penalties and legal action.
The Agricultural Income Tax Bill 2025 was approved by the Sindh cabinet this year and came into effect in January.

Under the new legislation, the collection of agricultural income tax was transferred from the Board of Revenue (BoR) to the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB). The law excluded livestock from the tax net.
Farmers with an annual income of up to Rs150 million remained exempt from the tax.
