Druski surprised thousands of concertgoers in Tampa when he pulled off a prank at Rod Wave’s Introduction to the Redemption Experience.
As the show began at Benchmark International Arena, fans believed they were about to see Rod Wave appear on stage. A figure slowly rose on a platform with a towel covering their face, building anticipation for the performance.
When the towel dropped, however, it was not the Florida-born rapper but comedian Druski. The crowd, initially shocked, quickly erupted as Druski laughed into the microphone. “Cut the music. I got y’all a**,” he said. “I’m trying to be another fat n***a tonight.”
The prank spread widely online within minutes, with videos of the moment circulating across social platforms. It came just as Druski released a new teaser for his Coulda Fest tour, a comedy and music event featuring appearances from Caleb Pressley, Snoop Dogg, Soulja Boy, Lil Yachty, and Justin Bieber.
Druski’s Coulda Fest begins in Toronto on September 26th and continues across North America before closing in Atlanta on December 6th. The tour has already generated strong attention, boosted further by the viral prank in Tampa.
Despite the brief misdirection, the main event remained Rod Wave’s performance. The rapper, who has built a reputation for emotional storytelling in his music, went on to deliver another successful edition of his Birthday Bash show.
Fans described the evening as memorable not only for Rod Wave’s setlist but also for Druski’s unexpected appearance.
