MULTAN:
A long-standing family dispute turned deadly when a man killed his daughter, granddaughter, and two young grandsons with knife wounds.
The incident occurred in Chak No. 14 Faiz, Basti Malook, where Muhammad Waris stabbed his 27-year-old daughter, Irshad Bibi, 3-year-old grandson Muhabbat Ali, 2-year-old grandson Ahmed Ali, and 2-year-old granddaughter Mehnaz to death.
According to the police, the suspect, Waris, was unhappy with his daughter’s marriage and had a long-standing grudge against his son-in-law.
The victim, Irshad Bibi, had come to her parental home after a disagreement with her husband and had expressed her desire to reconcile and return to her husband. However, her father was unwilling to send her back. This family feud led Waris to take the extreme step of killing his daughter and three young grandchildren.
The police reached the scene, took possession of the bodies, and initiated the necessary legal proceedings. The suspect, Muhammad Waris, has been arrested. The local community has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the tragic incident.
Meanwhile, a man allegedly took the life of his 14-year-old daughter in the name of honour.
The accused was apprehended by the police following a complaint filed by the maternal grandfather of the victim.
