Shutdown in Pishin coincides with PkMAP rally led by Achakzai with K-P CM, PTI leaders in attendance

Mobile and internet services have been suspended in Quetta and most districts of Balochistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day due to security concerns, officials said on Monday.
In the provincial capital, the Green and Pink bus services have also been temporarily suspended alongside the internet shutdown to prevent any possible untoward incident.

According to officials, the decision to temporarily suspend mobile and internet services in various cities of the province was taken in view of the security situation, in order to deal with potential threats and to ensure public safety.
The government apologises for the inconvenience caused to the public due to the suspension, officials said, stressing that the provincial government’s top priority is the protection of citizens’ lives and property. They assured that services will be restored as soon as the situation returns to normal.

Services have also been suspended in Pishin where a public gathering is underway under the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP). The gathering is being presided over by PkMAP Chairman and Head of the Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Ayin Pakistan (TTAP), Mahmood Khan Achakzai.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, Central Spokesperson of the TTAP, Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai, central leaders of the PkMAP, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Provincial President Dawood Shah Kakar, along with other leaders, are also attending the gathering.
