RAWALPINDI:

Police have arrested five suspects involved in a property fraud case in which a woman and her nephew were held hostage and deprived of Rs4 million.

According to police, the main accused, Arshad Zaman alias Langra, orchestrated the crime from abroad through accomplices.

The complainant, Shamim Akhtar, a resident of Raja Town, stated that she had recently sold property and arranged funds for Hajj and her daughter’s wedding.

A property dealer, Nadeem, lured her into investing in another property with promises of profit.

She and her nephew were taken to a house in Mohalla Hajian, where multiple suspects were present. During a video call, the accused confirmed ownership of the property, raising suspicion.
