KARACHI:
A woman, Noor Hussain, was arrested on Wednesday after killing her husband who had raided her parents’ home injuring her father, brother and sister.
Noor, preferred to be a culprit rather than a victim, when she confronted her husband Muhammad Hussain at their humble home in Orangi Town.
Hussain was out for blood ever since Noor had filed a khula case to get rid of an abusive spouse and get freedom from a toxic marriage. On September 28, he barged into the house of Noor’s father and opened fire injuring 40-year-old Ghulam Dar, his 22-year-old daughter Iman and 14-year-old son Adnan.
Iqbal Market police station SHO said that the suspect had fled the scene.
Hussain returned to Noor on Wednesday and per reports, during an intense argument, she allegedly opened fire killing him on the spot. Investigations revealed that the weapon used in the incident belonged to the deceased.
