FAISALABAD:

Three people were killed in separate incidents across Faisalabad, police said on Tuesday, adding that a woman has been taken into custody while raids are underway to arrest other suspects.

In the first incident, a 60-year-old man, identified as Hashmat Ali, was killed following a dispute over a pigeon-related issue during iftar in Chak 1-JB Ram Diwali, within the jurisdiction of Nishatabad police.

The victim was allegedly attacked with bricks by Tasleem Bibi and Zafar Iqbal after a heated argument.

He was shifted in critical condition to Allied Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police have detained Tasleem Bibi, while efforts are ongoing to arrest the co-accused.

In another incident reported in the area of Millat Town police station, a 40-year-old man, Nadeem, was murdered allegedly by his brothers-in-law over an old enmity.

The victim, a resident of Chak 216-RB Muhammad Wala, was attacked with a sharp-edged tool by suspects Usman and Shan Ali in Chak 119-JB Samana. He sustained critical injuries to his face, head, and legs and was shifted to Allied Hospital, where he later died.
