RAWALPINDI:
In a move to streamline the property registration system across the province, the Punjab Governor has delegated the powers of Sub-Registrar to all Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars.
A formal gazette notification to this effect has been issued. According to the notification, every Tehsildar will now serve as the Sub-Registrar for their entire sub-division, while each Naib Tehsildar will act as the Sub-Registrar for their respective circles.
Previously, these powers were vested in Special Magistrates, who have now been fully relieved of these responsibilities. From now on, the property registration system will be entirely managed by Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars.
