British news channel Sky News has been flagged by social media users for misreporting Afghanistan’s retaliation to Pakistani airstrikes on Friday, as well as furthering propaganda against Pakistan and the armed forces.
According to Radio Pakistan, the broadcaster had falsely claimed that Afghanistan’s Air Force had carried out strikes against Pakistan.
Thousands of Pakistani users reacted strongly, pointing out that Afghanistan currently does not have an operational Air Force.

The broadcaster has previously been exposed for spreading anti-Pakistan and anti-armed forces narratives.
Social media users also highlighted that Afghan-origin anchor Yalda Hakim has long been involved in Pakistan-related biased reporting.
The incident has raised questions about Sky News’ journalistic standards.

Pakistani forces have targeted key military installations of the Afghan Taliban regime in Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia through effective airstrikes, security sources confirmed early Friday.
“After carrying out precise airstrikes, our aircraft are now patrolling Kandahar’s airspace,” the sources added, emphasising that Pakistani forces remain fully prepared to respond decisively to any aggression.
Sources further said security forces are carrying out strong and effective operations against Taliban forces along the Torkham border.
