KHANEWAL:
District Police Officer (DPO) of Khanewal Muhammad Abid Waraich has registered a case against the SHO of Saddar Police Station and two constables over corruption and misuse of authority, and placed the SHO in the lock-up.
According to the DPO, SHO Muhammad Waqar was arrested in connection with a battery theft case.
The case was registered on the complaint of DSP Mirza Sadiq for alleged misuse of authority and embezzlement.
The DSP stated that the SHO had allegedly accepted bribes amounting to millions of rupees from several scrap dealers involved in the case and released them.
