Residents staged a protest against the deteriorating sewerage system on the road leading from Hasan Square to the Liaquatabad underpass, blocking traffic and throwing the city’s flow into chaos. The demonstration caused a massive traffic jam, leaving thousands of commuters stranded and ordinary citizens facing severe difficulties.
According to a traffic police spokesperson, the protest began around 5pm near Liaquatabad No 10 underpass on Sir Shah Suleman Road, where residents expressed outrage over filthy sewerage water overflowing onto broken roads.
