CHAKWAL:
Area Magistrate Rehana Kausar on Tuesday rejected the request by City Police Station Chakwal to dismiss a sexual assault case.
Instead, she forwarded the case to the District and Sessions Judge Chakwal for hearing. The City Police had submitted a report to the court declaring the accused in a sexual assault case — filed by the victim herself — as innocent, and requested the case be dismissed.
