GUJRANWALA:

Police have solved the gruesome murder of three Christian sisters in Rasul Nagar, arresting the victim’s husband who allegedly lured them with promises of a better future abroad before killing them.

According to SSP Operations Rana Ghiyur Ahmad Khan, the case was traced back to the discovery of an unidentified woman’s body in the Civil Nagar area within the jurisdiction of Alipur Chattha police.

Forensic samples were collected by the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA), and with assistance from NADRA, the deceased was identified as 45-year-old Nazia.

Following her identification, police launched a search for her two missing sisters, Bimla and Maria.

Investigations later revealed that two unidentified bodies recovered from Hafizabad were those of the missing women.

A police team led by SP Saddar Akhtar Inayat and SHO Aurangzeb conducted round-the-clock investigations using modern techniques.

During the probe, suspicion fell on Nazia’s husband, as he was the last person seen with her. He was taken into custody for questioning.

During interrogation, the suspect, identified as Mansha, confessed to murdering his wife and her two sisters with the help of his nephews, Dawood and Subhan. Police said the accused killed Bimla and Maria and dumped their bodies in the Lower Chenab Canal, from where they were later recovered in Hafizabad.

Investigators said the suspect claimed he had developed suspicions about his wife’s character, which led him to plan and carry out the killings.

The City Police Officer (CPO) Gujranwala praised the police team for successfully solving what was initially a blind and complex triple murder case, describing it as a significant investigative achievement.
