The veteran actor was best known for his role as Mr. Shamim in the PTV drama ‘Guest House’
Senior Pakistani television actor Khalid Hafeez passed away early on Monday at 1:30 a.m. in Islamabad. He was widely recognised for his portrayal of Mr. Shamim in the PTV drama series Guest House, which remains one of the channel’s most popular productions.
Hafeez also appeared in other television projects, including Silsilay and long plays such as Nishan-e-Haider: Captain Mohammad Sarwar Shaheed. He was based in Islamabad with his family and often appeared in interviews with his Guest House co-actor Afzal Khan.
The news of his passing was shared by Afzal Khan on Instagram, as well as by co-actors Bushra Ansari and Nauman Masood.
Tributes from fans and colleagues highlighted his contributions to television and the impact of his work on audiences who grew up watching him.
