The sources said, in WAPDA City, where SPU personnel were deployed for Chinese security, SPU constable Zeeshan was assigned duty from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m. He was mysteriously found dead around 6:45 a.m. after sustaining a gunshot to the chest. Upon seeing the body, his fellow on-duty officer, Umair, informed Rescue 15 about the incident.

Upon receiving the information, the District Officer SPU, along with other police officials, reached the spot, collected evidence, and shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem. According to police officials, the family of the deceased SPU constable Zeeshan had arranged his marriage two years ago, against his will, with Farzana. It has also been reported that his elder brother, former police employee Anwarul Haq, allegedly committed suicide eight years ago. The deceased had gone to appear at the DIG SPU Lahore Headquarters’ office on October 9, just a day before the incident.
