Eid Day 3 is your reset moment, here’s how to unwind, recharge, and ease back into the work week ahead
Eidul Fitr Day 3 has a different kind of vibe. The rush has settled, the guests have slowed down and the house finally feels quiet again. It’s the unofficial day to pause, breathe and reset before life slips back into its usual routine.
It often starts with what’s left of Eid on the table. A warm bowl of sheer khurma in the morning, maybe not as fancy as Day 1, but somehow more comforting. There’s no rush now; you actually sit down and enjoy it. Then comes the slow unwinding. A simple head massage, a little extra rest or just lying down without checking the time.
After days of dressing up and moving around, doing nothing feels earned. Even scrolling through your phone feels different, lighter and calmer.
Family time also shifts into a softer gear. It’s less about hosting and more about just being around each other. While you see your sibling count their Eidis again, someone else plans how to spend it and there’s always that one person still holding onto theirs like it’s a prize.
By the afternoon, the TV usually takes over. Eid is the perfect excuse to rewatch favourite Pakistani films and dramas. Classics like ‘Bin Roye’ bring back the festive nostalgia, while comedies like ‘Na Maloom Afraad’ are perfect for a few laughs. New releases on television like ‘Love Guru’ or ‘The Legend of Maula Jutt’ are also keeping screens busy, giving viewers something fresh to enjoy alongside the old favourites.
Of course, no Eid is complete without the Instagram moment. Day 3 is when you finally sit down to sort through all the photos, deciding which ones would make the cut. It’s less rushed now, a little more thought out, maybe even a bit nostalgic. And somewhere between all of this, you realise the break is coming to an end. The outfits go back into the cupboard, alarms get set again and the thought of work slowly creeps in.
But for now, the day is for resting, resetting, and holding onto that last bit of Eid before the routine takes over again, with good food, family, laughter and the comfort of favourite movies and dramas keeping the festive feeling alive.
